This ancient diagram has much to say regarding death (and the overcoming of it).
Among other things, this diagram shows that ---

	Death has a specific purpose, and this is illustrated in a clear and logical fashion.
	All of us can expect to die three deaths.
	The order in which we experience the three deaths is up to us.

The structure from which this diagram comes, has been well known and exhaustively studied for several thousand years. Nonetheless, the material on this website will show that it represents far more than has been commonly recognized.

It comes from a source which is scorned and rejected by many...
It comes from ancient Hebrew writings that were later compiled and became known as 'the bible.'

Sadly, many people reject the bible without ever having seen or understood the above diagram...Some dismiss the bible entirely, because they believe its story to be archaic and thus irrelevant to modern man... Others assume the bible's modern interpretation cannot be trusted, because of 'changes' that may have been made to its message throughout the years... Still others see no point in believing in the bible because"science has not proven God's existence". These are just a few of the many reasons that people often use to support their skepticism of the bible (and its concept of God).

Such skepticism is certainly allowed, and to a point, may even be wise. But, it is important to remember that while science may not have 'proven' the existence of God, neither has it proven the non-existence of God. Therefore, it would seem reasonable to at least admit that the God described in the bible could exist.

But even if we are willing to assume that there is in fact a God, we are still left with something of a quandary... As everyone knows, there are many different religions and spiritual philosophies in the world. There are also significant differences between most of them. And since most of these religions and spiritual philosophies claim to represent 'the true spiritual path', we are thus left with a problem ---How can we possibly know which of them is true?

The answer to this question is actually quite simple, and is related to the questions below...

Regardless of race and culture, these questions are common to all of mankind... Virtually everyone contemplates these questions at some point in their lives. And to one degree or another, these are the questions that the world's various religions and spiritual philosophies attempt to address.

Now here's the point...

As most people would agree, in general terms, we tend to interact with our environment through logic & reason... Thus, if there is a God, and if this God desired to give us the answers to the above questions at all, the answers would surely be communicated in a way that we could understand... i.e. the answers would be communicated in a way that would be clear & logical. Anything less, and there would really be no point in providing answers at all.

This being the case, it should be a relatively easy matter to discern the 'right' spiritual philosophy ---

The religion or spiritual philosophy which has the clearest and most logical answers to the above questions would be most likely to truly represent the one (God) who knows both us and the answers.

The bible claims to have those answers, and as you will see, it does contain clear and logical answers to all of the questions defined above. More importantly, you will find that its answers are far superior to the convoluted and partial answers found in other religions and philosophies. In fact, the bible's answers are so clear and logical, they are even depicted graphically (as hinted at in the diagram above).

But this still leaves an important question ---

What about the bible's 'interpretation'?
How do we know that the bible's message has come down through the ages without being tainted?
(Many people are greatly concerned about this issue, and rightly so).

Such people may be relieved to know that the bible actually has a 'built-in' form of authentication. On this website, you will see that there is a kind of ‘lock & key’ hidden within the bible itself, which serves to verify its interpretation. This ‘lock & key’ is composed of two things:

   the diagram (shown above)
&
   the symbolism contained within the sequence of biblical stories.

Both of these are meant to ‘unlock’ and verify each others message in the sense that the sequence and symbolism of the bible's stories are designed to illustrate the diagram's meaning, and likewise, the diagram itself is meant to illustrate the symbolism of the stories.

In other words, when taken together as intended,
the two must fit.

Clearly, if anything in either the diagram or the biblical stories had been significantly changed throughout the years, the two would no longer fit as intended, thus making it evident that tampering had occurred.

Fortunately, there is no evidence of tampering...
As you will see shortly, the 'lock & key' not only fit --- they fit perfectly.

In other words, the ‘lock & key’ shows that the bible’s message has been preserved and thus can be trusted. In fact, as you read further, it will become obvious that the bible does not really need to be 'interpreted' per se, since it very clearly interprets itself.

As you have probably realized by now, Roadmap for the Soul is about the bible. But its story may be very different from other bible-based material that you have seen. If you are one who believes that the bible’s story makes no sense, or if you believe that the bible’s message can be interpreted in different ways, the material on this website may be of particular interest to you.

If you are one who already recognizes the truth of the Hebrew scriptures, it is my hope that the material on this site will deepen your faith through understanding the depth of the scriptures symbolism. Unfortunately however, there will undoubtedly be those who have come to view the scriptures in a certain way and will thus be unable or unwilling to see things any other way. Nonetheless, I hope to find the true 'Bereans' (Acts 17:11)... those who are willing to search and see "...whether these things were so".

It is the author's hope that all readers will see the bible in a new light, as we simply take its message at face value and attempt to study what lies within its symbolism. Every effort has been made to keep the focus narrow, and to convey the bible’s main message in a plain conversational style, with a minimum of theological terminology.
